【摘要】:1.1General8212;Thisspecificationcoverstherequirementsforacoatingthatisamixtureofcadmiumandzincdepositedonmetallicproductsbymechanicaldeposition.Thecoatingisprovidedinfourthicknessclasses(seeTable1)andseveralfinishtypes(seeTable2).1.2Toxicity8212;Warning:Cadmiumistoxic;thereforethesecoatingsshouldnotbeusedonarticlesthatwillcontactfoodorbeverages,orfordentalandotherequipmentthatmaybeinsertedintothemouth.Also,thecoatingsshouldnotbeusedonarticlesthatwillbeheatedtohightemperatures,becausecadmiumwillformtoxicfumes.Similarly,ifcoatedarticlesarewelded,soldered,orotherwiseheatedduringfabrication,adequateventilationshouldbeprovidedtoexhausttoxicfumes.1.3SimilarDocuments8212;OtherkindsofmechanicallydepositedcoatingsarecoveredbySpecificationsB635,B695,andB696.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section9,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
