【摘要】:Lightfastnessofprintedinkjetmediaforspecifiedperiodsoftimeispertinenttotheenduseofthesematerials.Sincetheabilityofinkjetprintstowithstandcolorchangesisafunctionofthespectralpowerdistributionofthelightsourcetowhichitisexposed,itisimportantthatlightfastnessbeassessedundertheconditionsappropriatetotheenduseapplication.Whileinkjetprintsmaybehandledanddisplayedunderavarietyofconditions,thispracticeisintendedtoproducethecolorchangesthatmayoccurininkjetprintsuponexposuretoirradiationfromdaylightfilteredthroughwindowglassbysimulatingtheseconditions.Theacceleratedprocedurecoveredinthispracticeisintendedtoprovideameansfortherapidevaluationofrelativelightfastnessunderlaboratorytestconditions.ThePracticedoesnotprovidearatingofthelightfastnessoftheprints,butdeterminesthelightfastnessrankingofaseriesofprintsortheperformancecomparedtocontrolswithknownlightfastness.Testresultsareusefulforspecificationacceptancebetweenproduceranduser,forqualitycontrol,andforresearchandproductdevelopment.Colorchangesmaynotbealinearfunctionofdurationofexposure.Thepreferredmethodofdeterminingeffectofthelightistoexposetheprintsforanumberofintervalsandtoassesstheexposuretimerequiredtoobtainaspecificcolorchangeorchangeinopticaldensity.1.1Thispracticecoversspecificproceduresandtestconditionsthatareapplicableforxenon-arcexposureofinkjetmediaprintsconductedinaccordancewithPracticesG151andG155.Thelaboratoryacceleratedprocedureisintendedtodeterminetherelativelightfastnessofinkjetprintsinofficeenvironmentswherewindowfiltereddaylightisusedforillumination.1.2Thetwocriteriausedtodeterminerelativelightfastnessareinstrumentalcolorchangeandchangeinopticaldensity.1.3Thispracticeisusefulindeterminingtherelativelightfastnessofaseriesofprintsortherelationofthelightfastnessoftheprintofinteresttotheperformanceofcontrolswithknownlightfastnessexposedsimultaneously.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninsection.1.4ThereisnoequivalentISOstandard.
