【摘要】:Thistestmethodsetsforthaprocedurebywhichduplicatecatalystsamplescanbecomparedeitheronaninterlaboratoryorintralaboratorybasis.Itisanticipatedthatcatalystproducersanduserswillfindthistestmethodofvalue.Discriminationofthesamplesforwhichthisprocedureisrecommendedmustbeexercisedwhenconsideringcarrier(support)materialsthatsorbappreciablequantitiesofhydrogenorcouldcauseanalterationofthestateofthecatalystduringpretreatment,orboth,(thatis,sinteringormetalocclusion).Thesematerialsmustbeidentifiedbytheuserandexperimentedwithtodeterminethemostsignificantconditionsofmeasurement.Thistestmethodprovidesameasureofthetotalhydrogenuptake(volumeofhydrogenatSTP,cm3/gofcatalyst)withoutspecifyingthenatureofthehydrogen-platinuminteraction.Personsinterestedinusinghydrogenuptakedatatocalculatepercentplatinumdispersioninaspecificcatalystshouldbeawareofcarrier(support)interactions,spillovereffects,andotherphenomenarelatedtothehydrogenuptakecapabilitiesofthecatalystinquestion.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthechemisorptionofhydrogenat298K(25x00B0;C)onsupportedplatinumcatalyststhathavebeenreducedinflowinghydrogenat723K(450x00B0;C).Itincorporatesastaticvolumetricvacuumtechniqueatconstantvolume.1.2Thetestmethodisintendedforuseonunusedsupportedplatinumonaluminacatalystsofloadingsgreaterthan0.3weight%.Dataonothersupportsandlowerplatinumloadingswerenottested.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
